Description: Corpse Party is a Visual Novel game published by XSEED Games released on November 23, 2011 for the Sony PlayStation Portable. Review by Wolfzen: XSEED’s Corpse Party, also known as ‘Corpse Party Blood Covered Repeated Fear’, is an exhilarating mix of what would happen if you threw a group of normal high school students, an old legend of a death-ridden preceding school, and an evil vengeance, and mashed them into one gory, mushy mess. Trust me, it’s awesome. The length of the entire game play, for me at least, was around 25-40 hours. This counted when getting all the endings. There is also a spin-off known as. If you’re a horror and/or tragedy lover such as I, you should definitely play this game.
If you are sensitive to it, however, you may wish to steer clear. I still recommend it to easily-scared people because of its heart-pounding plot. I’d play it for just the story, in fact. That’s how in-depth it is. The beginning protagonists are Satoshi and Yuka Mochida, Naomi Nakashima, Seiko Shinohara, Ayumi Shinozaki, Yoshiki Kishinuma, Sakutaro Morishige, Mayu Suzumoto, and their assistant teacher, Yui Shishido. Later on, another character in a different school, Yuuya Kizami, joins them. When the curse strikes, they end up all in the same building.
You see first hand how a high school student would react to a dead body. That’s one of the most tragic and chilling things; how, as time passes, the sight of a dead body means less and less to them. Although the simple RPG style may be disagreeable to some at first as it’s limited to only the directional keys, the intense narration and plot makes it worth it. There are some chase scenes where this may be difficult to escape, especially since there is no ‘run’ option. The full Japanese voice acting is top notch, one of the best I’ve ever experienced. It has directional sound, as in echoing once in your left ear and then jumping to your right. It makes for an even better experience, of course.
In this cage of malevolence, you can only rely on your intuition and logic. Never second guess how important doing something is, as that may result in a bad end. There are many choices throughout the game which can affect your ending.
Even if something seems simple and innocent, you can never trust in appearances. If you avoid doing something, you could die. With one misstep, you could fall into the abyss of insanity. The dead have written various messages before being consumed by the school. They are cluttering the hallways of the dead school, covering walls and loose leaflets of paper on the floor; read them and they may help you. There are also groups of five Victim Memoirs in every chapter. Below is a helpful tip to those who find them.
You may want to ignore this, if you want a clean play through. There are five chapters, each of them with their own ending.
For chapters 1-4, you MUST get the true ending to unlock the next chapter. In Chapter 5, there are a couple of endings that can all be considered as true, but there is only one that is the best. In the rest of the chapters, there are many endings that are all unique, some with CGs. You can view all your endings by going to ‘Options’, then ‘Ending List’ in the main menu. There are also name tags you can collect from the dead bodies littering the school. You can view them by going to ‘Options’ and then ‘Name Tag List’. These make it harder to get 100% completion, and give you something to do.

There are also ‘Extra’ chapters, which you can unlock by clearing certain endings or, I guess, it’d be better to say ‘dying’ a certain way. These preview the protagonists past life before everything became twisted and their lives were ruined.
It explains a lot of relationships and also why various things ended that way. My opinion on this is one word; AMAZING. It’s a complete mix of horror, tragedy and fear. One of the best points in the game is how they integrated the fact that they were slowly losing their mind to the curse. You can get a close up view of what would happen if someone were to be surrounded by death with no way out. It’s a psychological thriller. What would you do, in a new dimension, facing curses, ghosts, and the undeniable threat of your mind breaking?

To help her cope with this move, her friend Ayumi has devised a seemingly innocent plan: the whole group will come together to perform a charm she found on the internet called “Sachiko Ever After,” which is supposed to bind all of its participants together as friends to the end. This does not go as expected. Following an intense earthquake, the group awakens to find themselves separated and trapped in an alternate reality version of Heavenly Host Elementary, a tragedy-stricken institution that once stood on the site of their own school but was torn down long ago. Here, the vengeful spirits of elementary-aged children threaten their lives and their sanity, and the only hope of escape – much less survival – is to uncover the chilling details surrounding the murders of those trapped before them. Corpse Party is the original Windows edition of the cult classic horror game that gained a considerable fanbase when released on Sony’s PlayStation®Portable system in 2011. Beginning life as an independent RPG Maker adventure title in 1996, the gameplay was greatly refined and the story greatly expanded for this 2008 remake, featuring more characters, more detailed interactions, darker story elements, over 5,000 lines of voice-acting and dozens of shocking, gruesome endings.
Players take control of nine main characters and several side characters who’ve been split up into groups of two or three and trapped in a run-down, otherworldly elementary school full of vengeful spirits, deadly mysteries and – of course – corpses. As they walk around examining objects and bodies in an atmospheric 2D environment, a horror tale spanning over 50 years begins to unfold, and player choices determine both how the story ends and who lives to see it through.
Key Features Highly Detailed Retro-Style Graphics Used to Enhance Atmosphere Modeled after the very first RPG Maker Corpse Party, the game’s 16-bit-style 2D visuals help create an intentional disconnect that sparks the imagination, leading the player to envision far worse things than even the most powerful next-gen system could display. Adventure-Style Gameplay Where Your Decisions Make All the Difference Playing like a cross between a point-and-click adventure game and a classic JRPG sans battles, Corpse Party gives players the freedom to thoroughly explore every last corner of Heavenly Host Elementary School, significantly altering the course of the story and its final conclusion based on where the characters go and what they do. Chapter-Based Storytelling with PC-Exclusive Content The tale is told through five main chapters with multiple endings each and numerous scenes that differ from the game’s PSP™ system and Nintendo 3DS™ system counterparts. In addition, there are four bonus chapters, one of which is a PC-exclusive retelling of the “Tooth” story from Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, recreated with added content in classic Corpse Party adventure style. Original Japanese Voice Cast and Character Art plus Text Skip Feature Over 5,000 lines of spoken Japanese dialogue from the original indie voice cast complement the action, giving new spins on familiar characters for series veterans.
In addition, the original PC-exclusive character art is fully intact, and dedicated players seeking every ending are given a speedy fast-forward function to make replays a breeze. The Game That Started It All When first released in 2008, this title sparked a Corpse Party boom in Japan: remakes, sequels, spin-offs, fan games, manga, anime, a live-action drama series and more, as well as countless Corpse Party-inspired horror games created by other indie developers in the same style. Come see how it all began, and experience the horror the way it was meant to be seen. Featuring more characters, more detailed interactions, darker story elements, over 5,000 lines of Japanese voice-acting from the original indie actors and dozens of shocking, gruesome endings, there's much more to this survival horror adventure title than meets the eye. Gameplay Corpse Party is a linear survival horror adventure game with some role-playing elements.
Players take control of a party of nine characters, consisting of students, and their teacher. Players are tasked to explore the haunted school grounds, reunite with their classmates and solve the mystery surrounding Heavenly Host. And to fulfill this task, characters must interact with the environment and surroundings such as picking up objects, talking to spirits, inspect documents while avoiding enemy-like entities, particularly the three. Unlike other survival horror genres, playable characters are unarmed and are susceptible to many events. This introduces the game mechanic known as.
Wrong endings are activated when a character perform events irrelevant to the main storyline. As the story progresses, so do the number of possible wrong endings. These endings force players to be wary of their actions and decisions over the course of the game. Characters also possess Hit Points (HP), much like those in role-playing games. It measures how much damage they can take before dying, in two instances where it can lead to a wrong ending. Characters The majority of the cast of characters are a group of students from, along with their homeroom teacher. The main characters include: Characters Gallery A student from Kisaragi Academy Senior High classroom 2-9, older brother of Yuka.
Corpse Party (コープスパーティー ) is a survival horror adventure dōjin soft video game series developed by Team GrisGris. The first game in the series was developed using the RPG Maker software and released in 1996 for the PC-9801. It was followed by two remakes: Corpse Party: Blood Covered, which was released for Microsoft Windows on March 8, 2008; and Corpse Party: Blood Covered.Repeated Fear, which was released for the PlayStation Portable on August 12, 2010, and iOS on February 9, 2012. The game was released in North America and Europe by Xseed Games under the title Corpse Party.
The PSP game was followed by a sequel/side story, Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, which was released for the PSP on September 1, 2011 in Japan, and on January 15, 2013 in North America. It covers many of the events that occurred in the original game but with a twist, and expands on characters that didn't get much screen time. It's final chapter, Blood Drive, is canon and leads into the events of Corpse Party: Blood Drive. A spin-off game, Corpse Party the Anthology: Sachiko no Renai Yūki Hysteric Birthday 2U (コープスパーティー -THE ANTHOLOGY- サチコの恋愛遊戯♥Hysteric Birthday), was released on the PSP in Japan on August 2, 2012. The game is a comedic parody of the series involving the entire cast of the game preceding it, coming together to celebrate Sachiko's birthday (much to their dismay). A direct sequel of Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, called Corpse Party: Blood Drive, was slated for a 2014 release on the PlayStation Vita in Japan but was pushed back and released on Oct.13 2015. 20th 2017, Nov. 24th 2017) provided. I've been looking for the past week for any kind of a patch or translation for this game, but I can't find it anywhere. I've gotten the ISO for the Japanese version, and I have both a cracked PSP and a Vita, both of which I've used to play Repeated Fear, Book of Shadows and Blood Drive to completion.
Is there anywhere at all that I can get a patch or a patched ISO for 2u? Not being able to play this is killing me inside. And as far as Dead Patient goes, I'm waiting for NEUES. Please, if anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.
